I did start a new job this past Friday. I am working for PVSP, but this time at the Scales & Tales aviary. Means I get to work with all kinds of native birds of prey. Also means I get to clean their mews every day. Very dirty job, but rewarding. I'm getting a lot of good experience and can handle the birds more frequently. I'm glad to be back at PVSP too. My other options were not so swift. Of course, this is still only seasonal work, so I'm still searching for a full-time position.
I will finally be moving out of my house soon and be out on my own. I look forward to starting that chapter of my life, and I think many improvements and positive changes will happen due to it.
I will be cleaning out my gallery as soon as I find a day where I have enough time. (Have you ever noticed how long it takes to delete deviations? Oi!) All the old character refs and sad-looking artwork from 5 years ago will be removed so that it's only pertinent stuff remaining. It'll look a lot better in here afterwards.
I promise that I'm almost done with the character ref sheets. I think 3 or 4 should do it. Then I can be happy and settle into doing full-out drawings and paintings instead of worrying about what my characters look like. The sheets are for my benefit as well, not just for anyone who decides to do a trade
As for what's up with me? Been working, cleaning, job searching.... I've lost quite a bit of weight and am almost down to my weight-loss goal. Yay! I've been painting in my off time along with doing a lot of needlework and stitchery. I'm an old lady in a 23-year-old's body, I swear. I'm trying to have a social life, but that doesn't always go so well, lol. I try to check on here pretty frequently, so don't be afraid to ask for requests or a trade!
Will be having some polls/questions up here soon as well.
Thank y'all for looking, your support, and all the pageviews! Hope you're enjoying spring
Much
Katie
