The night of fright is fast approaching... and I can't wait!!!

So much to catch up on, where to start...

School is going all right. My grades are going up, which is a relief and vast improvement. Though it seems like the school work and papers and tests and projects just keep getting piled on top of each other, and the pile never gets smaller. I wrote out a list of everything due before the Thanksgiving break, and it's a little frightening. Two tests, a debate, 4 papers, and my senior capstone project is due. A lot of stress, and a lot of work.

My car died. Seriously. The muffler fell of. Transmission leaked like a sieve. Cost $862 dollars to repair. While it was sitting in the lot at the repair shop, a man in a brand new 2010 Buick HIT MY CAR. Like, seriously. Dented the back passenger side door and scraped the paint. It's not too bad, but still gonna get it looked at. My parents are going to talk about it over the break, but... I may be getting a new car this summer

My phone also died. As in, wouldn't turn on. I'd just get the white screen of doom, and it wouldn't go any farther. No matter what I or anyone else tried, it just didn't want to live. So my dad is getting me a new phone. It's the Samsung Magnet, which is a pretty nice phone. Don't know which color he got for me, but as long as it isn't pink, I'm fine. It isn't an iphone, but it'll do. I'll get one of those when I get the money to afford it.

Band season is over for another year. Only one more to go in the Ram Band Then on to the Raven's Band!!!! WOOOOOOOOO!!! Our last day was this past Saturday, and it was pretty much hell. Rained and only got to do 1 out of 3 performances we were scheduled for... rather crappy. At least I got to see my whole family for the first time since August 6th.

Got to fowl sit, which is pretty cool. I watch this couple's chickens, turkeys, and ducks for them while they're out doing work. I love chickens, so no complaint there. But that Tom... damn! He's a fiesty one! He nearly knocked me down trying to get to food on Monday morning... freaking thing. And the ducks are just cute.

Still trying to find a way to get some sort of income so I can be able to buy Christmas presents...

So what are you all doing for Halloween? Our school's neighborhood trick-or-treat event is tomorrow night, and it's always fun. It's called Shep-O-Treat (for Shepherd), and about 300-500 children from around Shepherdstown come and get candy, make crafts, decorate pumpkins, get face painting, candy apples... and best of all, you get to dress up! AND see little kids in costumes, and they're ADORABLE!!!! I saw a chicken and almost squeezed the kid to death due to cuteness.
Also get to help out with the Apollo Theatre and it's fright fest thing this Friday. Don't know exactly what I'll be doing, but I hope I get to dress in costume and scare people! It's for a service project for my fraternity
Saturday I may be trick-or-treating. I know it sounds dumb, but there's this Trick-Or-Treat for the Troops thing where you send your extra candy to troops out in Iraq and Iran. I have a lot of friends who are stationed around the world right now serving their country, and I think it's a fun and easy way to give back a little.

My costume this year is a burlesque girl. I love it! C:
